Number 03.04.08 Division Student Affairs Enrollment Management Date February 12, 2015 Purpose The purpose of this policy is to publish and make available in a standard format the Admissions Requirement Policy for Dual Enrollment Students to the campus community. This information will be beneficial for campus partners to be mindful and familiar with as recruitment and enrollment continue to be a campus wide-initiative. Policy Academically talented students have the opportunity to enroll at UAH after their sophomore year of high school to concurrently receive high school and college credit. The policy regarding requirements for Dual Enrollment students is necessary to secure the academic quality of the University and to ensure the success of all students. Procedures A student may apply and be admitted to the University of Alabama in Huntsville as a Dual Enrollment Student by: Submitting the Dual Enrollment Application to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions as a junior in high school. Submitting the Dual Enrollment/Early Start Approval Form that must be signed by parents/guardians, school counselor and principal. A student must meet the admissions requirements of a 20 on the ACT or a 970 SAT (critical reading and math) and a 2.9 GPA. Review This policy should be reviewed on an annual basis by the Director of Admissions and all changes and updates should be communicated immediately.
