Number 03.04.07 Division Student Affairs Enrollment Management Date February 12, 2015 Purpose The purpose of this policy is to publish and make available in a standard format the Office of Undergraduate Admissions’ Conditional Acceptance Policy to the campus community. This information will be beneficial for campus partners to be mindful and familiar with as recruitment and enrollment continue to be a campus wide-initiative. Policy This information is available so in the occurrence of a student receiving a Conditional Acceptance of Admission into the University of Alabama in Huntsville all campus community members are aware of what leads to that decision being made. This is also so following a Conditional Acceptance of Admission the next-step-actions are clear and discernible. Procedure Students who receive a Conditional Acceptance are high school students whose GPA and/or SAT/ACT scores are comparative to the requirements set by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions but do not fully meet the standards. Students who fall into this category may be issued a Conditional Acceptance. Once this has been issued a student: Is limited to 12 credits per semester by the University and the advisor. The student must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 for two consecutive semesters. Once a student maintains the GPA requirement, the student’s advisor can remove the credit limit. Review This policy will be reviewed on an annual basis by the Director of Admissions. Any and all updates and changes should be communicated immediately.
