Gunther is a senior lead systems engineer and network engineer with the Program Executive Office, Command, Control and Communications-Tactical (PEO C3T), System of System Engineering and Integration (SoSE&I). He is responsible for developing the integrated network basis of issue architecture for an entire brigade, creating non-recurring engineering designs, conducting safety-related testing, procuring A/B kits and integrating network equipment across various platforms. He oversees integration schedules and interfaces with stakeholders, consolidates cost estimates and briefs Army leadership. Gunther chairs the Mission Command Network Modernization Working Group and the Network Modernization and Fielding Sync Meetings. Previously, he served as the sync fielding deputy chief engineer. Gunther has also been a senior logistics engineer for the ASA(ALT) SoSE&I and PEO Integration Synchronized Fielding, leading logistics operations for Network Integration Evaluations (NIEs). He was the lead for field operations, FSR support and logistics planning and execution for the NIEs. As the Future Combat Systems (FCS) System of Systems (SoS) Modeling & Simulation lead, Gunther developed and implemented the SoS Analysis Toolset (SoSAT) model, a stochastic Monte Carlo model used to assess brigade combat teams' operational capabilities. He also handled the verification, validation and accreditation of this multi-million-dollar model. At AMRDEC, Gunther supported the international Medium Extended Air Defense System (MEADS) as a systems/production engineer. He was instrumental in developing RFP requirements, providing systems engineering support, and integrating MEADS with the PATRIOT Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE) system. He also managed production scheduling and simulation projects for the PATRIOT Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3), defined RFP requirements and developed a database for missile manufacturing labor requirements. As the Requirements Team Lead at AMRDEC's PM Utility Helicopter (Black Hawk) Technical Management Division, Gunther implemented and maintained the UH-60 systems engineering program, interfacing with contractors and internal stakeholders. His responsibilities included systems engineering, requirements management, risk management, configuration management, software development and technology integration. Gunther has also worked with the Corps of Engineers, Huntsville, AL, overseeing configuration management and risk management programs for plant operations and special projects. At the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) with Lockheed Martin in Denver, CO, he performed contract administration and engineering surveillance for missile systems. With the Naval Facilities Engineering Command in San Bruno, CA, he conducted maintenance productivity studies and taught dBase programming. With over 38 years of experience in missiles, space launch systems, tactical vehicles, C4ISR equipment, and aviation systems across the Army, Navy and Air Force, Gunther has also been a university instructor for over 25 years. He has developed and taught 15 courses at ßÙÁ¨´«Ã½ and served as the course director for two Defense Acquisition University (DAU) courses, SYS201 (Intermediate Systems Engineering) and LOG204 (Configuration Management), for nine years.
