October 8, 2024 The UAH Film and Media Arts (FMA) program as a part of the Department of Music, Theatre, and Film is excited to announce the upcoming screening of the short film, That Time I Met My Grandpa, which will be featured in the first 鈥淐ine-Bites鈥� event on campus in Morton 145 on Thursday, October 10 from 5-6pm. The event is free and open to the public. The 鈥淐ine-Bites鈥� events are designed to showcase student and independent filmmakers in the region. 鈥淪tudents and indie creators need outlets to network, share their work, and get feedback. My hope is that these events will strengthen relationships in the region between UAH and regional artists,鈥� says Dr. Watson. That Time I Met My Grandpa is a short film that explores the story of Jane, who on the cusp of being engaged to Neil, discovers that her estranged grandfather is still alive. The film was written and directed by UAH alum Kate Kornegay and was produced by Dr. Joey Watson for her capstone project for Film and Media Arts. The film, which is planted within the faith-based genre, is also currently streaming on Redeem TV and is in competition for their student film festival.
