UAH is governed by that vests authority in the campus president to lead the university. The president is assisted by the provost and executive vice president for academic affairs; the vice president for student affairs; the vice president for research and economic development; the vice president for finance and administration; the vice president for university advancement; the vice president for strategic communications; and the vice president for access, connections, and engagement. The president, together with the vice presidents and chief external affairs officer, function as the university's executive committee.
